Montgomery County Intermediate Unit
Provides supportive and specialized services including special education, staff development, technology support and liaison services to the 22 school districts of Montgomery County. Also, provides no fee Early Intervention Services for Montgomery County children ages 3 through the start of kindergarten. These services address delays in the children’s development in the areas of speech and language, general learning skills and motor skills. The Homeless Children’s Initiative, a special program of the Intermediate Unit, provides assistance with the educational concerns of homeless children in Montgomery County. This program provides assistance with enrollment concerns, school supplies and other supportive services at schools and shelters. Call for more information.
