Lawyer Referral Service/Legal Access Project
The Lawyer Referral Services refers individuals to an attorney who handles their type of case. The referral itself is free; the attorney charges a reduced set fee for the 1st ½ hour consultation. Additional consultation is done at an agreed-upon (by the client and attorney) rate. The Legal Access Project is a service available for individuals who do not qualify for Legal Aid, but still qualify for reduced-fee legal services due to their income. These individuals are referred to them from Legal Aid and are then referred to an attorney who then provides services at a reduced rate. Call the Legal Aid Service or Montgomery Bar Association for more information about the Legal Access Project.
